Check your eligibility
Entry requirements depend on the program you choose. For master's programs, you will typically need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (dependent on your program)
- Evidence that you are legally authorized to reside and study in the United States without F-1 student visa sponsorship from UEL
- Evidence of English language proficiency, where required
- Individual programs may have additional entry requirements.

Transfer to UEL USA
If you have studied at a US college or university, your previous credits may count towards your UEL degree.
Credits from accredited community colleges may be eligible for transfer.
You can submit an unofficial transcript for an initial review. Official transcripts will be required for official credit acceptance.

How transferring credits works
Apply online through the UEL USA application portal. There is no application fee.
You may need to provide:
- Academic transcripts
- Evidence that you have completed your previous qualification
- Government-issued identification
- A personal statement
- Evidence that you are legally authorized to reside and study in the United States without F-1 student visa sponsorship from UEL
You can use unofficial transcripts for an initial admissions review. We may ask for official documents before you enroll. Additional documents may be required depending on your circumstances and chosen program.

What happens after you apply
The UEL Admissions team will review your application against the entry requirements for your chosen program.
You may receive:
- A conditional offer - You have been offered a place but still need to meet one or more requirements, such as providing your final official transcript or degree certificate.
- An unconditional offer - You have met the admission requirements for your program.
- An unsuccessful application - If you do not meet the entry requirements, we will let you know the outcome of your application.
Alternative routes may be available depending on your circumstances.

Eligible students may qualify for scholarships that are applied directly toward tuition. Plus, our programs have a flat tuition rate that includes tuition and fees, so what you see is what you pay.

Yes. You can submit unofficial transcripts for an initial admissions review. Official transcripts may be required before you enrol.

What is a Bachelor's completion program?
A bachelor's completion program allows students with qualifying previous higher education, such as an associate degree, to complete the final stage of a bachelor's degree.

Do you offer first-year entry to bachelor's degrees?
No. UEL USA will offer bachelor's completion program rather than first-year entry.
If you have completed an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS) or equivalent qualification, you may be eligible to enter the final stage of a bachelor's degree. We will review your previous study to determine your eligibility. -
Can credits from another college or university transfer?
They may. We assess previous study to determine whether your credits can be accepted towards your chosen UEL program.

Do you accept dual-enrolment credits?
Credits earned through dual enrolment may be considered as part of your transfer credit assessment. You will typically need an AA, AS or equivalent qualification to enter a UEL USA bachelor's completion program.

Is there an application fee?
No. There is no fee to apply to UEL USA.

How long does a bachelor's completion degree take?
A bachelor's degree can typically be completed in one year after transferring to a bachelor's completion program, subject to your eligibility and program requirements.

Is federal financial aid available?
No. UEL USA does not participate in Title IV federal financial aid programmes. Students need to arrange funding independently. Private student loans are accepted, and eligible students may be considered for scholarships or merit-based awards.

Can I study part-time?
Part-time, hybrid and online options may be available depending on your program.
